The challenge

The problem

Custom orthotics are bespoke medical devices: every brace is fitted to a patient, specified by a clinician, and manufactured to order across a distributor network. OrthoSolid needed clinicians to configure the device themselves — geometry, material, ventilation, fixings — and have that specification drive manufacturing and fulfilment without paperwork.
What we built

The solution

01

Parametric 3D orthosis configurator

A ShapeDiver-powered configurator for the CARPI, MINO, and VOLAR product lines — clinicians set material, brace length, ventilation, and fixings on a live 3D model, working from patient scan meshes.

02

Patient records + order pipeline

Patient data and scan uploads feed an order workflow tracked end to end across eleven statuses, from design approval and 3D-file generation through manufacture, shipping, and invoicing.

03

Distributor network, five languages

Role-based access for master distributors, distributors, and professionals, with the platform localised across five European languages.

The outcome

What changed

OrthoSolid turns a clinician’s in-browser configuration into a manufactured, patient-specific orthosis — patient records, a parametric 3D configurator, and an eleven-stage order pipeline carry the device from clinic to 3D printer across five European markets.
